Growing!

Holden turned 5 months old last week!
He hasn't stopped growing yet.  Each week his development amazes me.  The things I've noticed over the past two weeks is how purposeful his movements have become.  He's better able to manipulate objects... although they all are intended to reach his mouth.  Holden has become far more interested in the dogs.  While playing on the floor, if one of the boys walks by he will follow them with his eyes.  He also reached up to Beasley and "pet" his neck for several minutes this weekend.
Along with this increased interaction in the world has also brought about fear.  He has been startled by loud noises and harsh tones of voice.  And when he has been startled, he will stick out his bottom lip and begin to slowly cry if not soothed quickly.  Of course all of these incidents are not purposeful and very much regretted by the adult that may have caused them.
Laughing!  Oh, what a joy!  I love hearing him laugh.  Bryan is the best at getting a good laugh out of him.  It usually involves a fart noise or goofy facial expressions.
Rolling over- our new skill in life.  He's started sleeping on his tummy or his left side.  I'm thankful for the new positioning.  I'm hopeful that these new favorites might help him to sleep longer.
Sleep- still not our best.  I think it has improved though... he goes to bed between 6 and 7 each night.  He typically wakes up every 2 hours but I only go to him every 4 hours.  And his fussing at those two hour marks seems to be less in duration before drifting back to sleep.  But all this excitment means I'm awake every 2 hours or so.  And I find it difficult to fall asleep again because I'm always worrying about him falling back to sleep quickly.  Not to mention these silly vibrations from the Oklahoma earthquakes.  But it is SO much better then before.  I feel much more rested and always excited to see my wonderful Holden each morning.

Here are some videos recently from month #4:
