Easter

What a busy celebration for us this weekend.  I worked the World's Largest Baby Shower on Saturday which made for not much family and weekend cleaning and general catch up time for me.  Sunday we went to the early service of church so I could volunteer for the second service. I asked Bryan if he'd try to keep Holden up until I got home, so I could nap too.  Thank you honey!  I absolutely love naps and I treasure them on weekends.  I was feeling pretty yuck since the past 3 weekends it hadn't worked out.  After a little afternoon nap, we headed over to grandma's house for dinner and egg hunting.
Holden had such a blast hunting Easter eggs on Sunday!  Each egg he saw was accompanied with a gasp of excitement.  It was so funny hearing time and time again, gasps and shrieks of excitement.  After a bit, I showed him that there was a sole M & M in each egg.  So precious watching him try to pry each egg open.  Often he dropped the candy on the ground, lost forever in the grass and dirt.  Afterwards I let him empty the eggs in the living room floor.  Daddy and I helped with the sugar consumption.
What a wonderful weekend!  But it really is always wonderful with these two guys in my life!

  1. Sweet pictures of you two! I'm thinking that backyard egg hunts could become a good weekend activity -even if it's not Easter!
